Classic winner!
Babies and toddlers enjoy this toy. This is my go-to baby shower or "1st Birthday" gift. I bought these for my children when they were toddlers (late 1980's). Back then the toy had metal bells in addition to the wooden beads. The bells were probably discontinued due to product safety and liability concerns. The current version of this toy is still a joy. Bright colors, squishy movement, sliding beads... what's not to like? I like it, too. The geometry and symmetry appeal to me.

because it is my 4-month-old’s favorite toy (we have the one with beautiful colors)
I bought the natural color Skwish as a gift, because it is my 4-month-old’s favorite toy (we have the one with beautiful colors). The wood tones are beautiful! These are well made, and fun even for adults! I have a few Manhattan Toys and they are all great quality. Comes with the tag on in excellent condition (as it should, but you never know these days...) Just one warning is baby’s hand/arm can get stuck inside and they might not have the dexterity to get their hand out. My baby just fussed a little and I took it off her. It’s only happened once and she played with it hours each week. As with anything...supervise your baby!

It's light weight and easy for his little hands to grasp and there's lots ...
I was afraid this might turn out to be one of those toys that is appealing to adults but babies won't play with. No worries, our little dude loves it. It's light weight and easy for his little hands to grasp and there's lots of smooth balls on the ends to stick in his mouth. The moving balls keep it interesting. He has been playing with it for a month now and still seems to enjoy it on a daily basis. I like that fact that it is sturdy, well made and natural wood.

We have it and the Winkle out pretty much every day
This toy seemed a little pricy, but so far has been one of my sons favorites. We have it and the Winkle out pretty much every day. When he was new, he liked to hear the noise it made when we shook it for him. The shape made it one of the first toys he was able to grab and manipulate.

Love this
This is our second skwish. I was given one as a gift with my first baby and it was a favorite of my first two babies. It disappeared in a move so we ordered another for our third babe for Christmas. It's easy for very young babies to grab and play with. They loved chewing on it and the sliding balls made a soothing sound. The bright colors are also engaging. I admit, when I first opened it I wasn't to impressed but watching my kids love it and play with it changed my mind. A great gift for baby!

Beautiful and fun.
We own one, and have now given it as a gift as well. This might be my new baby shower go to. Everyone, every age, is drawn to this toy at our house. My kids play with it together, and my husband sometimes steals it.

Entertaining for 4 months on
I was interested in buying this after my infant son kept trying to lean forward to grab the cord for my phone charger, and I saw this and immediately made the connection of my wrapped charger to the connections between the wooden pieces on this toy. It sure is easy to grab for little hands and it is light weight, so it is easy to move around. My son likes to bang it up and down and can do so easily, where it will making small noises for the pieces moving around and also whatever noises that he decides to hit it against. My son was delayed with fine motor skills, so he had trouble holding bigger items, and the strings along this are so easy to hold, that it is a perfect toy for very young babies when they are just starting to hold onto objects and reach for them, the large size makes it an easy target to grab at. It is very durable and made of quality materials. This is an item I will buy for other parents with young infants.

My 3 month old LOVES this!
I found this toy in an attempt to keep the toys for my daughter simple, no loud noises and lights. My 3 month old LOVES this toy! She has been completely enthralled with it since she was about 2 months old. She loves the colors and watching the wooden balls slide up and down the strings. She is just starting to be able to grasp it with her hands. I think this will entertain her for many more months to come!

The best. Watch out for teething and chewing off paint.
The best infant toy ever! you can also hang it (add a string or rubber band) for looking at like a mobile. Our infant was enthralled with this as something to look at and later, to hold. Once he had teeth, he was chewing on it and scraping some of the paint off! So perhaps not for teething kiddos. We also bought the natural wood version...safer for chewers! Best toy!

Super cute!
I love this, but more importantly Baby loves it! She likes to chew it and rattle it around! Bonus it looks like art sitting on my coffee table. One con is she bonks herself pretty good with it so I’ll be putting it up until she gains a little bit better motor function.
